Fresh produce from trusted farms

01Who is responsible for your data?

FarmCart is the marketplace service described in this policy and is a product of AgriFi Innovations Limited. For questions or a privacy request, contact us at hello@farmcart.com. This policy applies when you visit the FarmCart website, create an account, use the dashboard, list produce, send a request, or contact us.

02Information we collect

Depending on how you use FarmCart, we may collect account information such as your email address and account identifier; onboarding information such as your name and location; seller profile information such as shop name, seller type, introduction and contact preference; listing information such as produce details, photos, local area, state, handover terms and availability; buyer-request information such as quantity and fulfilment preference; and messages or support information you choose to send us. We also receive limited technical information needed to provide the website, such as browser, device and connection information.

03How we use information

We use information to provide and improve FarmCart; create and secure accounts; display approved public listings; help buyers and sellers send and manage requests; review listings; respond to support requests; protect the service from fraud, abuse and security issues; and meet applicable legal obligations. We only use information for purposes that are relevant to the service or where we have another valid basis to do so.

04Public marketplace information

Approved listings can be visible to the public. Public listing information may include the produce name, description, photos, price, unit, available quantity, shop name, seller-verification status, local area and state. Your exact farm or pickup address is not displayed on a public listing. Do not include sensitive personal information in listing text, photos or handover terms.

05How we share information

We share information with the buyer or seller involved in a request where it is needed to operate that request. We use service providers that help us operate the platform, including Firebase and related Google Cloud services for authentication, data storage, file storage and server functions. We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a corporate transaction involving the service.

06International processing

Our service providers may process information in countries outside Nigeria. Where information is transferred internationally, we will take steps appropriate to the service and applicable data-protection requirements to protect it.

07Retention

We retain personal data for as long as it is reasonably needed to provide FarmCart, maintain records, resolve disputes, enforce our terms, meet legal obligations or protect the service. We may retain information for a longer period where required or permitted by law, and may de-identify information where appropriate.

08Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so please use a strong password, keep account details private and do not share verification codes or sensitive financial information with other users.

09Your privacy rights

Subject to applicable law, you may ask to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal data; object to or restrict certain processing; withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing; and complain to the relevant data-protection authority. Contact us at hello@farmcart.com to make a request. We may need to verify your identity before acting on it.

10Children and changes

FarmCart is not designed for children to use independently. If you believe a child has provided personal data without appropriate permission, contact us. We may update this policy as FarmCart changes; the current version will be posted here with an updated date.
