These terms explain how the FarmCart marketplace works today. They should be read together with our Privacy Policy and other applicable FarmCart policies.
01Using FarmCart
FarmCart is an online marketplace that helps people discover fresh produce, publish produce listings and send requests to sellers. By accessing or using FarmCart, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and any policies linked from this site. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
02Who may use the service
You must provide accurate account information and keep your sign-in details private. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account. If you use FarmCart for a business, you confirm that you have authority to act for that business.
03Accounts and verification
Some actions, including sending a produce request or creating a listing, require a FarmCart account. We may ask you to verify your email or complete onboarding before you can use certain features. We may suspend or limit an account where we reasonably believe information is inaccurate, misleading or used in breach of these terms.
04Browsing and listing information
Buyers can browse available listings and use filters such as category, produce type, location, price and seller status. Sellers must make sure their listing information—including produce name, condition, quantity, price, location, availability, photos and handover terms—is accurate and kept up to date.
05Seller listings and review
Sellers may create a seller profile and submit produce listings for review. A submitted listing does not become public until it has been approved. FarmCart may decline, pause, remove or request changes to a listing where it is incomplete, inaccurate, unlawful, unsafe or inconsistent with these terms.
06Produce requests and trade arrangements
A buyer can send a request for a listed product with the quantity and preferred fulfilment method. A request is not a guarantee that produce is available and does not by itself create a completed sale. Sellers may accept or decline requests. Buyers and sellers are responsible for confirming the final produce, quantity, price, timing, pickup or delivery arrangement and other handover terms directly with each other.
07Payments, delivery and pickup
FarmCart currently provides discovery, listing and request tools. Unless FarmCart clearly states otherwise in writing, it does not process payment, hold funds, arrange transport or guarantee delivery. Buyers and sellers are responsible for agreeing payment and fulfilment terms before money or produce changes hands.
08Acceptable use
Do not use FarmCart to publish false, deceptive, discriminatory, abusive, illegal or infringing content; impersonate another person or business; interfere with the service; collect information about other users without permission; or use the platform for anything other than legitimate produce-market activity. Do not share passwords, verification codes or sensitive financial information with other users.
09Content and intellectual property
You keep ownership of content you submit, such as listing text and photos. By submitting it, you give FarmCart a non-exclusive licence to host, display, adapt for technical operation and promote that content in connection with operating the service. You confirm that you have the right to submit it. FarmCart’s name, logo, design and platform content may not be copied or used without permission.
10Third-party arrangements
FarmCart is not a party to the agreement between a buyer and seller. We do not guarantee the quality, safety, legality, availability or suitability of any produce, listing, user or transaction. Users should inspect information carefully and agree trade terms clearly before proceeding.
11Suspension and termination
You may stop using FarmCart at any time. We may suspend or end access to the service, remove content or take other reasonable action where needed to protect users, comply with law, maintain the service or enforce these terms.
12Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions as FarmCart develops. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Continuing to use FarmCart after an update means you accept the updated terms.
